We are going to begin hosting group road rides. If you have taken place in other local rides you may have different expectations so please read carefully. We will be smiling, laughing, waving to others as we pass, enjoying the scenery, and obeying traffic laws. If you don’t think you can handle this please don’t show up – there are plenty of other rides in this city for you. This ride will be beginner friendly and we will split up as necessary to accommodate different paces. Distances and the occasional snack-serving destination will change from ride to ride.

Our first ride will be this Saturday, May 18th, leaving from our back parking lot at 5:30pm. This week will be a relatively short social ride ending at DiOrio’s for pizza. Let us know if you would like to join us. There is a small chance for Thunderstorms so we will update our Facebook page Saturday afternoon regarding cancellation or changes to the ride.

Some other helpful facts…

1. The shop will be open until 5pm if you need to pick up anything before the ride.

2. You do not need to wear some fancy Euro team kit you bought from Nashbar. Be yourself and come to have fun.

3. Yes, you can ride your singlespeed, but expect at least one hipster joke.

KYMBA Louisville presents vision for a world class 100 mile urban human powered sports trail system in Louisville Kentucky

After a year and a day in Texas, we are heading back to Kentucky. Three weeks from today I will be packing a truck and starting the drive back to Louisville. Lauren and the kids will enjoy (hopefully) a two hour flight back while my dad and I tow back all the stuff we have accumulated in a truck larger than any I have ever driven.  What better way to test it out than to drive for 15 hours.

I am returning to Bicycle Sport. I am excited to be back in the world of bicycles and even more excited to get back to working with my friends there. They are great group of guys!

Louisville is our home and we can’t wait to be back.

The following are a few of the things (listed in no specific order) that have made this year in Texas a lot better than it would have been otherwise – – Breakfast Tacos, Mad Duck Cyclery, Oak Cliff Bicycle Co, Providence Church, Family, Smoke’s thick cut pork belly bacon, Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, and Austin being within 4 hours.
